About PSOMS

The Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is a non-profit organization, incorporated under the Laws of the Commonwealth. PSOMS was organized to:

  • contribute to the general health and welfare of the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by educating the general public and the policy makers for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania relative to the qualifications and functions of those dentists who have limited their practice to oral and maxillofacial surgery.
  • promote and encourage the advancement of the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery. encourage the members to discharge their civic and professional responsibilities to the community.
  • provide for its members’ opportunities for social and professional community.

PSOMS consists of three components: a western branch (Western Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons), a central branch (Central Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons) and an eastern branch (Delaware Valley Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons).
